We are delighted to share the news that our volunteer Chaplain, Father Jide Macaulay, was ordained as an Anglican priest at St Margaret's Church Leytonstone, this Saturday just past.
Mildmay's Chief Executive, Geoff Coleman, says, "Mildmay is blessed with a team of dedicated chaplains who play an important part in the work of the hospital and the wider charity. Without this team, of which Jide is an important part we would not be able to reach, so effectively, the large number of patients that we see. This year has been particularly challenging for our chaplains as they have had to adapt and improvise in order to minister to our needs. They have all done so with grace and dignity. I congratulate Jide and thank him for the tremendous work that he does. God Bless."
British-Nigerian born in London, a Christian minister since 1998, a dynamic and an inspirational speaker, author, poet, pastor and preacher, Jide holds a degree in Law, master’s degree in Theology and Post-graduate Certificate in Pastoral Theology.
The founder and CEO of House of Rainbow CIC, Revd. Jide Macaulay wrote on his Facebook page, ‘It is a delight to share this news. Wait on the Lord, be of Good courage and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait I say, on the Lord” Psalm 27:14.”
