Ethel Mary Edge

"My grandmother, Ethel Mary Edge, wasn't a nurse but worked at Mildmay Mission Hospital as a matron’s maid and kitchen assistant from 1952 until her passing in 1970. 

In fact, she not only worked there for 18 years but also lived there in the hospital on Austin Street and died in Mildmay on 31/10/1970.

Ethel had a very hard life, but her faith helped give her strength. We are very proud of her and our East London roots!"
