We were delighted to receive an email yesterday from Jian, who represents the “Chinese in the UK for NHS” campaign.
They have very generously donated 1,100 masks, 25 coveralls, and 30 goggles to Mildmay Hospital to supplement our Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
We are incredibly grateful for this donation because, even when we are able to locate an available supply, of PPE, the cost of it is currently higher than anyone has ever known.
“As of 29th April 2020, through purchases using funds raised by the F&F Charitable Association, and actual PPE donations sent to us to be redistributed, we have donated 11,657 face masks, 245 coveralls, 471 safety goggles to 24 organisations including hospitals, clinics, hospices, care homes and other charitable organisations. We are yet to purchase more face masks using the remaining fund.”
Jian and his group set up a fundraising initiative aiming to source adequate personal protective equipment from China to help the NHS in the fight against coronavirus.o source adequate personal protective equipment from China to help the NHS in the fight against Coronavirus.
They have raised £7,291 through crowdfunding from 104 supporters in just 28 days to fund their kind initiative.
On behalf of everyone at Mildmay – deepest gratitude and sincere thanks!
