Our newly published Impact Report reflects the significant progress Mildmay has made since the COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to your support and dedication.
In the UK, we continue to develop our services that support vulnerable individuals living with HIV, those experiencing homelessness on the streets, and individuals battling alcohol and drug dependency. Through your generosity, we can continue to make a tangible difference in their lives, offering them hope, care, and a chance for a better future.
Our new Education Exchange Programme gives our trainee GPs experience of providing healthcare in Uganda's resource-limited settings, increasing their skills and knowledge to enhance their GP practice while strengthening health systems both in the UK and Uganda through international cooperation.
In Kenya, we continue to support a growing network of community volunteers to deliver HIV and general healthcare services through support, education and training and inspire young people to achieve their full potential and live a life of dignity.
Mildmay Uganda provided formal education to 96 orphans and vulnerable children and offered apprenticeship skills training to 30 young people, equipping them with the necessary tools to build a better future for themselves. Elizabeth Ward, in the paediatric care centre at the Mildmay Uganda Hospital in Kampala, continues to be a beacon of hope, annually treating over 500 sick children from low-income families.
Your generosity allows us to continue the battle against vulnerability and stigma, transforming lives and guiding people towards independence. We continue to seek out the health inequalities in our communities and develop our services to address them. Together, we can create a lasting impact and make a difference in the lives of countless individuals.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Mildmay family; we look forward to continuing this journey together.
