The inaugural Helen Taylor Thompson Memorial Lecture

Helen Taylor Thompson 1924 - 2020

Helen Taylor Thompson OBE lived a full and varied life. A member of the Special Operations Executive during WWII, she subsequently became a successful businesswoman who made time for extensive charity work through Mildmay Mission Hospital, Community Action Network and Education Saves Lives.

Helen died in 2020. Her life has not yet been fully celebrated due to COVID restrictions, so this event aims to share her vision and energy until we can meet in person.

We are therefore delighted to highlight this special event, organised by Stephen Clarke, in memory of Helen, who fought so hard for Mildmay's reopening after it was closed down by the NHS in 1982.
