Mildmay Hospital staff and Trustees were honoured to attend the launch of the "Celebrating Life" Festival in Maidstone today.

The launch event, led by the Very Reverend John Richardson, Vicar of Maidstone and Chair of Mildmay's Board, took place in the magnificent 14th-century All Saints Church in the heart of Kent's county town.

The Celebrating Life festival, which runs until June 30th, is a vibrant celebration of life in all its forms – past, present, and future. Attendees can expect a diverse programme of music, entertainment, flower displays, book events, inspiring talks, and opportunities for prayer and reflection. The festival culminates on a poignant note with a service marking the 50th anniversary of the Very Revd John Richardson's ordination.

In his role as Chair of Mildmay's Board, Revd John will also host a special festival fundraiser dinner on June 29th - a celebration of the work of our hospital and charity.

Mildmay extends its warmest congratulations to Revd John on his 50 years of dedicated service to the Church. We are deeply grateful for his leadership as Chair of our Board. His unwavering drive and enthusiasm have been instrumental in propelling our charity forward, guiding us through both times of triumph and challenge. We are immensely fortunate to have him at the helm.
